Friday Night Singing & other Stuff...

Soldiers of the Cross Ministries once again attended the Laborers of the field outreach ministry event at Broadway Lake at McFall's Landing. About 40 persons were in attendance. A few different faces than last week. A young Pastor from Iva Assembly of God Church brought the message. He was caught up in drugs and alcohol up until 5 years ago. He shared how coming to know Jesus Christ changed his life and how Christ can change the lives of others. Once again the Soggy Bottom Boys (photo on bottom left), gave their rendition of a man of constant sorrow. Several persons sang including yours truly:) Some photos are attached of the evening. A good hamburger and hot dog supper preceded the message. It was good to see others coming in tonight. Preacher Allen and his Son Terry Allen was present with their wives. Terry and I go back to the days of Wamsutta Mill. If you are missing out on Friday nights with the Laborers of the Field, then indeed you are missing out. Come out next Friday and bring a friend. Sunday Morning Message will be one for the books. I believe it will be off the hook. The Soldier's of the Cross series is helping us to be better soldiers for Jesus Christ. 5th Sunday might singing will be at First Perpetual Baptist Church at 6pm. Also don't forget about the Yard Sale on US 24 Saturday morning 6am until. J.B. and I have a wedding to attend at 2 and will have to leave at 1:00 to make it. Come out and help us as we raise money for missions. More Later, Pastor T.
