The first night photos are available to see. The other nights will be posted as possible.
Never miss an opportunity to express how Good God is!
A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her small
daughter was very sick with a fever. She left her work and stopped by
the pharmacy to get some medication.
She got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys in the
car. She didn't know what to do, so she called home and told the baby
sitter what had happened.
The baby sitter told her that the fever was getting worse. She said,
"You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door."
The woman looked around and found an old rusty coat hanger that had been
left on the ground, possibly by someone else who at some time had locked
their keys in their car.
She looked at the hanger and said, "I don't know how to use this." !
She bowed her head and asked God to send her help. Within five minutes a
beat up old motorcycle pulled up, with a dirty, greasy, bearded man who
was wearing an old biker skull rag on his head.
The woman thought, "This is what you sent to help me?" But, she was
desperate, so she was also very thankful.
The man got off of his cycle and asked if he could help.
She said, "Yes, my daughter is very sick. I stopped to get her some
medication and I locked my keys in my car I must get home to her.
Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?
He said, "Sure." He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute
the car was opened.
She hugged the man and through her tears she said, "Thank You So Much!
You are a very nice man."
The man replied, "Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison
today. I was in prison for car theft and have only been out for about
an hour."
The woman hugged the man again and with sobbing tears cried out loud,
"Oh, thank you, God! You even sent me a Professional!"
Is - GOD GOOD - or what!?

WOW What a week......
VBS this week at Lakeview. We had about 38 for Bible School this year. We used our teens in VBS this year and they did an excellent job.
Outrigger Island was the theme. Our creative team went to work creating the set and decorating the fellowship hall.
The Pulpit was transformed into a beach scene, sand, seashells, Palm trees along with transforming the Choir area into rolling ocean waves.
Cool trade winds and a great program made the week awesome for the kids. They loved the game time as a different game was devised each night. They did seem to moved toward one game they called "snake tag". I advised them there were no snakes in Hawaii other than Big Island Toms stuffed one.
Last Sunday for our "One Prayer" series. Pastor Perry Noble will be speaking to us this week via video from New Spring Community Church. On his One Prayer, God make us "Dangerous". I have really enjoyed this format and listening to the other Pastors as they spoke about their One Prayer. Many thanks to Pastor's: Wayne Cordiero, Craig Groeschell and Perry Noble for making great video sermons to share with the vast number of churches participating. Our VBS donations for the week will go to our One Prayer Initiative Outreach. To help start churches in other parts of the world.
Thanks to all those who participated and worked hard to see VBS a success.
Until next time.....

Weds Bible Study Rev 2 Smyrna..

Great group at Bible Study. Revelation Chapter 2 as we reviewed the letter to the Church of Ephesus we moved into the Letter to the Church of Smyrna.
Smyrna is the only city of the seven churches that is still in existence today it is called Imer. Smyrna was a city built from ruins. After it's initial founding it was destroyed and after 400 years was rebuilt. The city was a city of Diverse peoples and religions. It was the founding city of the temple "Dea Roma". The temple built to worship Rome as a deity. It was also a home to the Imperial Cult, Worshiping Caeser as a god. It was also the home of many Jews. These facts alone made it difficult for Christians. As we reviewed the letter Style again and how Jesus relates to the cities and the churches in his opening statement. Such depth in the meanings and instructions given. When you stop and think about what he says.. He that has ears let him hear what the spirit says to the churches..... Have you found the meaning of that yet? What is it that the Spirit is saying to the Churches? Come out on Weds to bible study....

Does this make one bonafide?
In the movie "Oh Brother Where art thou?" The lead Character's wife was always saying how she wanted a man that was Bonafide.
What is it that makes a minister of the Gospel of Christ, Bonafide?
Is it a College Education, Seminary Training, the prodding of family and friends or is it the call of God on ones life?
There have been many that served as preachers that were Mama called and Daddy sent.
There are those who are attracted to the profession of preaching because of some other desire. I believe that the anointing and call of God in ones life to ministry is the mark of a Bonafide minister.
Having Graduated from Bible College and Seminary I understand the need for a good Bible Based Education and Seminary training, However I know that without the call and anointing of God, it isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I graduated from a Technical High School with a 900 hour certificate in Auto Mechanics. I was trained and taught how to work on Automobiles. I am mechanically inclined and can diagnose and repair just about anything. However, I don't have the proper internal motivation to do auto mechanics. I don't have the patience or the desire to do it right. Kinda like a person that may have the education to be a preacher, pastor, teacher, etc. Without the anointing, gift or drive to do the job, it won't be done properly or full hearted. Maybe that's why there are so many preachers out there that are quiting the ministry. When you have the calling, the anointing of God you come to a realization that it is without repentance. You can do nothing else.
If you do ministry then answer the question. Why do you do it?
Then should it not be done right.
Just a thought!
One Prayer Service 2
Today we heard from Pastor Craig Groeschell.
Sermon thought: My One Prayer is God, "Make us One."
Eph 4:3-6 KJV Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (4) [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; (5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
The Key Word in all this is ONE.
Points: We will be made one when we realize we have:
1. One Enemy - Satan is our one common enemy. Not each other.
2. One Heart - United together in the Heart of Christ.
Do you know the Difference between United and Untied?
The difference is where you put the "I". If "I" am in the wrong place, what should be united becomes untied.
3. One Purpose - Reach the Lost for Jesus Christ. Be united in Christ.
Great message. The message is available from the Church Office on DVD and VHS.
