Trip to New York, Thanksgiving and UGA victory over GT

Wow alot has been going on since the last blog. Those who follow my twitter or FB have been keeping up. A fast week in NYC for my 50th BDay and a jam packed week back on the job.

Whew I am tired. It seems everything is full speed ahead these days. 5th Sunday night was quick and now we will host the next one in January.

Israel trip dinner scheduled for January and before I know it I will be airborn to Israel. I have my room mate assignment already.

New York was not as I imagined it. In some ways it was tamer. In other ways it was worse. I was suprised to see the large Times Square Church, founded by David Wilkerson. I did not get to attend but saw many as they left.

Saint Paul's House is mission ministry that has existed for 60 years feeding and ministering to the homeless and less fortunate in NYC. Great opportunity to serve them while I was there and deliver a morning message. Thanks to Jonathon Dickson for the invite to Saint Pauls House.

Thanksgiving was extremely tiring as I pulled 1st and 2nd shift. I am getting too old for that. I did not get to spend it with my family.

UGA pulls off a victory over Geoprgia Tech. This has nothing to do with ministry but did lead me in the direction God had for the Sunday Morning Message. Hebrew 12:1-2. May we never forget who we represent and I am not talking about teams here. Football is fun but it means nothing in eternity. However, how we respond says alot about our faith and what we believe.

Thanks to First Perpetual Baptist Church and Pastor Julien Crowe for a great fith Sunday Night Singing.

More later...
